In Case of Emergency, Call 911
Bonduel Emergency Medical Services
Rodney Hoppe, Service Director
Bonduel EMS is a volunteer group of people who provide medical care in an emergency situation before the arrival of an ambulance. The service was started in 1991 by a group who thought this service was needed in the area. We cover both the Village of Bonduel and the Town of Hartland.
What started out as basic first aid and life saving measures, such as CPR, has evolved over the years to include many more skills such as Automatic Defibrillation, Cervical Spine Immobilization, Epi- Pen injection for allergic reaction, Glucose monitoring and Albuterol administration for breathing issues.
In March of 2014, Bonduel EMS was allowed by the State of Wisconsin EMS division to run a pilot program to run 12 lead EKG's for cardiac issues. We were able to fund the machine for the program with donations from area organizations. This program allows us to send 12 lead EKG's to the hospital emergency room before the arrival of the ambulance in a heart attack situation, thus saving time and getting the patient the necessary treatment faster. We are the only first responder group in the state to be able to perform this procedure.
We currently have 10 squad members, but there is room for 15 on our roster. We provide paid training, if necessary. You must be a resident of the Village of Bonduel or the Town of Hartland to join. Applications are available here & you may contact Service Director Rodney Hoppe at 715-851-5773 or by email with any questions.
