As we move into the winter season, the Village would like to remind property owners of their responsibility to keep sidewalks safe and accessible for pedestrians.
Property owners must clear the entire sidewalk — including the concrete terrace — of snow and ice within 24 hours of any snowfall.
Failure to do so may result in fines and charges if the Village has to perform the removal.
Additionally, snow may not be plowed, shoveled, or blown from private property onto Village streets, alleys, sidewalks, or other public areas. If snow is deposited onto public areas, the Village will remove it and bill the property owner for the cost of removal.
Village Ordinance Sec. 26-5 and WI Stats. §66.0627
Thank you for helping keep walkways safe for all residents and visitors this winter season. Your cooperation ensures safer travel for pedestrians and assists with efficient snow management throughout the Village of Bonduel.
